A session to approach starting solids with calm and confidence, learning about timing, methods, and practical tools to guide your baby through their first tastes.
Trying to conceive today often means navigating fears and medical protocols. This article invites you to shift perspective: learn how to prepare your “fertile ground” through awareness and a tailored preconception pathway, reclaiming your health before conception.

We often think of pregnancy as a switch that suddenly flips on. In reality, it's more like a garden: before planting the seed, we need to make sure the soil is fertile, welcoming, and well nourished.
Today there's a lot of talk about medical technology, yet, paradoxically, we pay little attention to preconception health. And preparing isn't just about "getting the usual tests done." It's about reclaiming your own health so you can experience a pregnancy that is as physiological, calm, and aware as possible.
In today's system, pregnancy seems to have become an obstacle course of lab tests and bureaucratic deadlines. The data tell us that fewer and fewer pregnancies reach term while remaining purely physiological: the high rates of inductions and cesarean sections show how hard it is, today, to "defend" the normalcy of birth.
The problem is that risk has become the main driver of what we do. We're so used to judging ourselves by medical parameters that we risk losing sight of our overall well-being.
As Anna Maria Rossetti puts it so well:
“How come, when you run into your neighbor in the hallway and they ask ‘How are you?’, you don't answer ‘Low risk, thanks!’?”
This provocation hides a deep truth: we are not patients to be monitored, we are women creating life. But to protect our physiology, we need to be ready and aware even before the positive test.
Health isn't a stroke of luck; it's a daily practice. Preparing for conception means taking an honest look at your lifestyle, not to chase perfection, but to build health. Here are the pillars you can start working on:
Remember: this isn't only about you! Sperm health is essential, and trying for a baby is, in every sense, a team effort.
Seeing a specialist isn't about getting a "magic pill" prescribed; it's about building a personalized health plan. You can surround yourself with professionals who work together: from the midwife for menstrual health, to the nutritionist for targeted supplements, to the physical therapist or the gynecologist for clinical checkups.
Pregnancy isn't just something that happens: it's something you prepare for. Taking care of yourself today doesn't guarantee that everything will be perfect, but it gives you the certainty that you've done your part, honoring your body and the life to come.
It all starts with you. And you don't have to do it alone.
