Starting Solids: A Calm Beginning Full of Discoveries and Newfound Independence
A session to approach starting solids with calm and confidence, learning about timing, methods, and practical tools to guide your baby through their first tastes.
Before you walk into the delivery room, there’s a special bag to pack: not with baby clothes, but with awareness, movement and practical tools. Discover how to bring body and mind together so you can play the leading role in your own birth.

Becoming a mother is an extraordinary experience, and a well-designed prenatal class in Udine can make all the difference in facing it calmly.
As your belly grows, so do the questions:
We often imagine birth as something that happens to us, a moment when we hand ourselves over completely to others and feel like spectators of our own story.
The good news is that it doesn't have to be that way. There are powerful tools for rediscovering your inner strength, and that awareness is exactly where our prenatal classes in Udine come from: a program created by Mairuna, Centro Maternità Evolutiva, to support you step by step toward the birth of your baby.
Our approach goes beyond the traditional lecture. In our active birth prenatal classes we combine the essential theory with hands-on body work, because we know that the mind and the body's tissues speak the same language. As the World Health Organization guidelines on maternal and newborn care also point out, active, well-informed care significantly improves the birth experience.
What do we cover together in our sessions?
These prenatal classes are designed for all expectant mothers in and around Udine—whatever trimester you are in—who want to experience pregnancy not as passive waiting but as a time of training and discovery. They are for those who want to move past the myths about birth, for those looking for a safe, welcoming space to ask questions openly, and for those who want to build a strong team (together with their partner, who plays a key role!) to face the day of the birth with practical tools.
To learn more about well-being in pregnancy, you can also visit dedicated websites such as EpiCentro - Italy's National Institute of Health (Istituto Superiore di Sanità) (in Italian).
Taking part in active childbirth preparation is about getting back in the driver's seat. It doesn't mean planning every single second (we know birth has its mysteries), but it does mean having the map. It helps you turn anxiety into know-how, feel in charge of your own breath when everything around you is moving, and walk through the delivery room door knowing that your body knows exactly what to do.
Don't leave your well-being and your baby's to chance. Give yourself a space for growth, listening and deep preparation.

A session to approach starting solids with calm and confidence, learning about timing, methods, and practical tools to guide your baby through their first tastes.

A space for listening and presence before the day begins. A time for self-knowledge and deep listening: a weekly practice created together by two teachers who take turns leading, to wake up your muscles, let your breath flow, and nourish your inner calm every Friday morning.

Much more than a movement class: a small-group program for experiencing pregnancy mindfully. We’ll learn to listen to the body, ease tension, and use the breath as a valuable tool, discovering the personal resources to face birth with confidence.

Exercise and relaxation in pregnancy: benefits and practical tips

The first 1,000 days of life, from conception to early childhood, shape a child’s future health. Nutrition, lifestyle, environment, and parents’ well-being influence development through epigenetics and the microbiome, and healthy choices help build immunity and prevent disease.

Why does raising children feel harder today? Perhaps because the parenting paradigm has changed, and with it the role of mothers and fathers. A short journey from a culture of authority to parenthood today.

There are no quick, universal fixes in breastfeeding. Aids can help, but only as part of a full assessment of the mother–baby dyad, weighing how, when, and why they are used, plus cost and ease of use. Often small changes to position or latch are enough.
